Thinking about one of Shakespeare's most controversial plays, The Merchant of Venice, we will get students to talk about some of the most difficult issues of our day - the tension between people of different cultures and religions - tensions that are as explosive today as they were in Shakespeare's time (in terms of customs and beliefs).
